I get plenty of range with the smart controller, but like I mentioned, the stability of the signal even at shorter distances is a little better with the original Air2 controller and that is what I feel is more important than max distance. I do realize there are a ton of factors the come into...

I've flown the exact paths multiple times(not back to back) and have saw about 1/2 mile more range and stronger signal through out the entire flight with the original Air 2 controller vs my Smart controller.

It will. I've been out 4.06 miles without Yagi's. I have not had a chance to test with them. I live is a rural area so this was done over fields with minimal interference.

I've also had this happen. It always comes home but it was a little scary the first time that it happened. DJI needs to address it. It doesn't bother me anymore but I'd rather not get the false notification.

First MA, second MA, and then all of my records. I also had the app chrash about a year ago and lost close to 200 fight records that weren’t synced.

This was bone stock. I wish there was an option that wasn't so bulky. I'm more interested in maintaining medium range signal quality.

Mine was never there. All my video is fine. I'll replace it one day I guess, but for now it's not a problem.
