I'm SE Tas but I fly over a lot of the State. All I can say is beware of the wedge tails and the sea eagles, peregrines, plovers. They are the main threats. Lots of other birds have a look but seem to present no danger ...

Mate of mine has recently returned from there and has a lot of amazing footage. Tips - be polite, engage the locals and you shouldn't have any troubles!

I am now really tired of the whole Mavic experience ... it started off exceptionally well but the device has degraded to being unreliable with a dodgy camera ... it really is now not fit for purpose.
After just on 200 flights with no issues apart from the camera 'warm spot' - don't start me on that one - the gimbal decided to pull this one out of the blue ....
It had several more episodes on the bench when testing but seems to have settled down ... not perfect though ...
