@mavic3usa Yes, I just looked again. There is a "Sold" option listed in the pull-down menu.

Maybe I will sell my drone to my wife for $1 (with a bill of sale for a paper trail) and select the SOLD option on the FAA website. Since the "new-to-her" drone is <250g, she will not be required to register it. "We" can then fly it for recreation and not worry about RID.

On the FAA Drone Zone/Dashboard/Manage Inventory, there is the option to change the status of your drone. The options provided are: Damaged, Lost, Sold, Stolen, Replacement, Other. Maybe Other allows for un-registering? I did not try it. I sent a question to the FAA about a registered sub...

@Aerophile did you ever get answers to your questions about RID and a registered sub 250g drone? I too have a sub 250g drone that was registered pre-RID and would be interested to learn what needs to be done to be compliant.

I bought a drone case by Symik and really like it. The one I bought last year shows as unavailable on Amazon. It is the Symik A310. It is a hard case, with lots of customizable foam to fit your needs.

Thank you for the explanation. It makes sense since we are only concerned about AGL vs. MSL, for altitude, right?

This statement surprises me. I assumed the altitude of the aircraft was calculated from GPS data, not an onboard altimeter. If an onboard altimeter was used, wouldn't the specific barometer reading for the location have to be entered each time flying, similar to a real plane?

I cannot speak directly about an S23, but DJI Fly works on my S21.

How do you connect your mini 2? It doesn't appear in the connection guide Suzygs1000, I have not had any issues connecting at start-up. On occasion, the Mini 2 will not automatically connect, but it appears in the connection guide for me to select.
