I can't say enough about the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active3. Fast, with an incredibly bright screen. 4GB of RAM, fast Octo-core processor. GPS and compass. Runs DJI fly with no problems.

There are a number of "Drone Rescue" videos on YouTube showing various methods for rescuing drones from roofs, monuments, etc. Techniques vary from clothes hangars (surprisingly successful) to the previously mentioned magnets. Give 'em a look.

I've been using the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active3 (SM-T570). 4GB RAM, Octa-core processor. Amazingly bright 8" screen, and I got an open box for well less than half the cost of the Tripletek. It's a great alternative, IMO.

We all started in the same place. That's the beauty of flying; you don't get to CLEP out of ratings. Unless you've done practically no flying since Jan 2021, you certainly have more drone/Part 107 time than I have, and I can probably learn a good deal from you.
