The Air and the Pro are basically identical in the imaging front. The Pro has a slightly (very slightly) better lens, but the Air does 100mbps 4k which is much more noticable. So basically if you want 4k get an Air, if you want 1080p or Photos... get an Air. There's no reason not to. Unless you...

I have only done a few test shots on my air, and it was a cloudy day so certainly not in anywhere near as optimal conditions as that Pro shot, but I personally thought the camera looked pretty sharp at distance. Will have to test it in a sunny day soon though.
