Hey all, Just wanted to give an update that the Flight Planner is now available on the Firefox browser: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/dronehub-flight-planner/ Also wanted to share this cool side-by-side I took today at the Syracuse Carrier Dome:

Planning Drone Missions in Google Earth

I would have to take a look at Google Earth Pro, as I have not yet used it. Making a Flight Planner for an offline version becomes complicated to support, whereas Chrome Extensions will auto-update so that you will always be using the most up to date version. I can look into porting this tool to...

Planning Drone Missions in Google Earth

Thank you for the feedback Stephen. I have not yet considered a mapping product, but I would love to make something that people would use (All of the development tools I make will be free and open-source). Before I started this project, I actually wrote machine learning algorithms for a research...

Planning Drone Missions in Google Earth

Hi Tolly, this Flight Planner actually goes a step beyond what Dronelink offers in its 3D visualization of mission planning. The DroneHub Flight Planner lets you create the missions in Google Earth, whereas in Dronelink you can only export a mission to view in Google Earth

Planning Drone Missions in Google Earth

Thanks for the suggestions Al, I will definitely work on incorporating those. Can I ask, would you also like to be able to change the positional information (lat, long, altitude, etc.) for the regular waypoints? I intended for the control of waypoint positions to be completely by moving around...

Planning Drone Missions in Google Earth

Yes! That is definitely one of the features that will be added. Other features that will also be added are the ability to control actions from the Flight Planner instead of having to do that in Litchi. For being able to create orbits, I was thinking of having a button separate from "Add...

Planning Drone Missions in Google Earth

Hi all, I posted last week about a free and open-source chrome extension that I made called the DroneHub Flight Planner. I made a tutorial video on how to use it and wanted to share with the community. Here is a link: The Flight Planner lets you create missions from Google Earth, then upload...
