I had word back from DJI that there is a malfunction with the unit and they need to replace it. Might be worth getting contact with them. -

Hi mate, Yes I have had this issue. I picked mine up on the weekend and have not been able to activate it. Currently waiting on DJI to send it out for me. It is possible I may have to send it back -

Mavic Air 2 Issues
Thanks, I have just been on the phone to them. The service centre reckons the same and they will be talking with the developers regarding the software issue. May have to have the drone replaced.- SendIt

Hi, I have purchased the Air 2 on the weekend and went through the process of setup. Downloaded the latest firmware and fly safe updates, but when it get to the last part of activation it will not let me bind my account with the drone? It keeps coming up with the error; Activation failed...- SendIt
