have we reached the point of to much reliance on technology

Well said! Just as in many of the threads involving changing props folks seem to be losing track of why they bought a Mavic in the first place. I have other drones to tear up the sky with that are cheap and easy to fix after the inevitable crash. They are lousy for photography but very "Miata"...

    3-Blade propeller for MP1 ?

I could not agree more! Low voltage is a LiPo batterys worst enemy. When I first got involved with drones a few years ago I murdered many a LiPo before I decided to read the directions:rolleyes: ....... Just change the battery more frequently. We are supposed to be flying LOS anyway.

Blade Test Results- DJI vs CARBON FIBER

I second that with my one exception being Master Air Screw like iowahill noted. Excellent quality. Been around a long time.

    3-Blade propeller for MP1 ?

Understood. Since this is a drone forum I limited my thoughts to them. Full size aircraft use slower turning, constant speed propellers so the tips don't break the sound barrier and possibly destroy themselves. 3 blade drone props turn so fast that the prop vortices created often interfere with...

    3-Blade propeller for MP1 ?

I am unsure where you found any data to support 3 blade Propellers being more efficient than 2 blade Propellers. Especially for drones. They are slightly quieter but mostly they offer a solution for clearance problems such as the 210mm racing drones. The 1000mm XDRONE's all use 2 blade props and...

Blade Test Results- DJI vs CARBON FIBER

The motor, props and esc are engineered as a unit. DJI engineers spend a lot of effort to design their propulsion units to do the job the drone is designed to do. DJI drones are camera drones! Not racing drones or heavy lift drones to deliver large packages. Changing only the prop to a different...

60 seems to be the new 40

I usually just read on this and other sites.Rarely do I post anything. This thread caught my attention. It shows a common link all us old farts seem to share. We all like active living. I've raced cars, briefly flew small planes and Ultralites. Owned a few boats and 16 different motorcycles. I...
