M3 is a strong type of velcro to attach the crees to the legs - then belt & braces with a thin cable tie just to make sure it wont fall off. If you know anyone ( or search on Grey Arrows ) maybe you can find someone who does that plastic moulding thing - I had to get mine from the USA from the...
The Crees aint the cheapest and you will either need a pre-made mount OR some good M3 with a cable tie for added security BUT they are 100% outstanding strobes. As your UK based go check out " Grey Arrows" drone club online - a fine group for fun, flying and advice.
Seems a whole lot of neurosis to me - id worry more about the USA government than the chinese, who are very welcome to look at my footage of a sea cliff any day of the week.
For safe night flying id recommend either the CCKO strobe lights if your keeping it fairly close by OR the best are the Cree strobes - I have 2 fitted and they can be seen clearly at 3 miles away - **** sight easier to see the quad at night than in the day lol
Just do it the easy and legal way - do the online test ( its a piece of cake ), get onto ebay to get your "certification" printed ( dead cheap and a nice addition for the wallet or drone bag ), get 3rd party insurance ( again dead cheap ), then go fly with common sense using the go4 app or...
Very interesting perspective - thank you for adding some detail to your original comment. I wonder why DJI build in the feature then - because when i do my pre flight checks, the compass section is often highlighted which suggests to me the drone wants some more data in order to orientate...
Glad to hear it !!! :) Cos your next post would be "Why did my MP not respond to controls" - Don't even try ATTI - not worth the cardiologists bill, let alone manual - on this control feature the MP is best left alone - the designers never considered suicide flyers in their initial brief -...
I keep thoroughly testing my DJI for "spyware" - I keep shouting "go get a pineapple fried rice from the local takeaway" - so far no reaction sadly. :(
I do fear for the sanity of some Beijing tech who's trying to decipher all my Welsh texts tho :) - should keep him busy for years.
Thats fine for 1 year, but I would definitely suggest 3rd party insurance as well. Better to be 100% covered in case the SHTF - also helps in the unlikely event of the UK plod spotting you. My way of thinking is a £7 printed licence from eBay, £10 pm 3rd party AND equipment cover is...
You sure ? My understanding was the proposals cover ALL drones, and include having them "chipped" so data can be collected and examined. I believe USA flyers are suffering from the "Anti China Tech" panic that their Gov has - shame really as they have the perfect flying conditions and great...
Brave lad !!! but in fairness you yorkie boys are hardened souls - I bet your still in shorts in January so other people's "bad weather" is just summer for you. Your right tho, if your flying the lightweight drones you need to have a lot of respect for the drone, the weather and your own...
Hi, Im around the Bangor, Anglesey area for a while - always welcome some company or to introduce city boys to some coastal flying areas. If anyone is planning a "meet-up" then I would welcome an invite.
Looking at different forums on this drone it seems the wind isn't the only issue - as I said before, this product is for the "California Sunshine Brigade" to get under the weight limit so no registration. Even there, the number of flyaway is ridiculous. I can't help thinking its just a...
