No, I designed and printed a custom framework on my 3D printer that I then glued 13mm foam to. It comes with the pluck foam which doesn't retain it's contour after a little use without doing something to it.

2800 case completed.

I desgined and printed an adapter for the Lenovo M8 if anyone wants to use the design. Works great and it's simple. OEM cable reaches no issue. It's very secure as it holds the tablet from top and both sides while the RC holds from the bottom, can't slide out once installed.

The 4800 is much larger than you need I think but certainly makes it easy to do the layout.

The pick a part foam is Ok but after a few uses really tends to come apart in my experience.

Looks like the 3800.

The 2800 series will fit too, haven't finished this one though, still need to cut and apply the foam.

The Apache cases are as good or better than anything else I have seen. I bought 4 of the 3800's yesterday for $29 each at Harbor Freight with a current coupon. It's possible their IP-65 water tight rating isn't quite as good as it should be as my test did show they can leak, I have only tested...

As I posted before, the Lenovo M8 is only $100 and works fine. I have a 3D printed adapter to use the stock clamping mechanism if anyone goes this route. Stock cable also easily reaches without issues.

There is more than 1 version of the Samsung Tab A. I have one and it's 32bit so it won't work. You must have a 64bit processor, I bought a Lenovo M8 for $100 and it works fine, you just have to sideload the Fly App. I designed and 3D printed an adapter and the OEM cable reaches and works fine.

Higher definitely helps a lot

Nope, none that I have noticed. Excepting that you have to sideload it, doesn't appear in the store.
