I got one of these plates too, but in the time between ordering and receiving it - I read many reports of it hindering the cooling vanes on the underside of the MP..... I haven't gotten to scientific with it as yet, but I have put a new battery in the pyrometer for some testing this weekend.....

Id suggest to keep the MP in Beginner mode until you think you know what you are doing, then continue in Beginner mode for another 3/4 weeks.... until you really know what you are doing.

A friend of mine recently got his MP out of Hong Kong, it was a "Fly Extra" pack - not a Fly More.... Needless to say, his charger plugs were not Australian standard, the "extras" were generic and of cheap nasty quality.... In the end, he paid more than RRP to get the extras that he actually...

EsiMavic, Id much prefer to have a fully functioning MP as it was out of the box. Turning safety features off just to have the MP function as expected isnt my idea of a well engineered device. Having cycled 3 batteries thru my MP today, it appears that everything is back to normal and all...

Being that I am a new user, I was following all "safety" prechecks. No warnings on screen prior to or during the flight that went "crazy" Ironically, I had calibrated the IMU, Compass and controller immediately prior to flight and all were successful. Will fly again today and reassure myself...

my flight was at approx. 3pm in a nature park (Australia) - still broad daylight, and a spot that I have taken off from many times prior.

you aren't alone..... mine was acting crazy yesterday, really unstable at idle hover and also took off with zero stick input to approx. 60mtrs+ I genuinely struggled to get it back to the ground. Never acted like this in previous flights.

Im yet to understand why Casy Neistat is actually "famous" .....
