Not heard of that, but welcome to the forum from the UK! As others have said, could be gunk or as a result of gimbal cover being on when drone switched on. Have you had any error messages come up on the RC?
We don't get air cans in Nepal but I used medical grade air from compressor which I believe is clean. I will try to hand launch if it gets repaired. For the warranty I have to ask my friend because it was a gift from one of my friends from Germany.
Well, do not fly from the ground or learn to hand catch and launch. You probably got all types of dirt in the gimbal assembly and you said you used compressed air, did you use "clean" compressed air from a can, not your local garage tire...
