1/1000 is way to fast. Slower shutter speeds allow a little motion blur that gives a more realistic appearance. @Meta4 is one of our expert ship photographers and will likely give you a few pointers.

What frame rate and shutter speed were you using? The image on the sensor is read out line by line and movement between successive frames can produce this effect. A moving aircraft propeller shows the effect at its worse on rolling shutter sensors.

Great footage and well put together but the music is totally distracting. It’s okay for footage of high speed action with the drum beats but a landscape edit needs music fitting of a wide expanse and that’s slow and at times dramatic.
