Very close!
Seems an odd way for waypoints to work. I would have expected a gradual climb or decent between waypoints.
If you were climbing between waypoints why would it follow a curved path that may descend? Within reason it would be very easy to detect a decent with the barometric pressure...
The thread is more about keeping the drone cool while doing firmware updates. The larger Mavic drones have a temperature controlled internal fan, which is sufficient to prevent overheating while doing updates. I live in a hot environment and will usually use a desktop fan to keep air moving over...
It’s the temperature gradient that causes the issue and a tea towel won’t change that. Condensation forms on the warmest side of a cold surface. The same happens when you step into a car on a cold day and your radiated body heat allows condensation to form on the inside of the windscreen.
Check the gimbal ribbon cable is seated correctly on the PCB, it can be dislodged after a crash. Failing that check for hairline cracks in the cable - it’s delicate and cracks easily.
Extremely unlikely.
It’s not unusual, although poor practice, that a repair agent, during fault finding, replaces a possible failed board in a device but finds the issue is not resolved then leaves the replacement board in place due to laziness, possibility of damage to connectors or a matter...
No need to calibrate the IMU, it has nothing to do with transmission or signal strength.
Is the remote displaying loss of connection or are you losing direct control of the drone?
Are you losing the video link too?
If it’s not indicating signal loss check updates haven’t reset to Beginner...
Low altitude can also be your enemy in cases like this where even light breezes interact with the ground/vegetation and ‘disturb’ the air. Make sure also that the ground facing sensors aren’t causing this. I’ve had cases at similar heights where my M2P has gone wild over a field of kale that was...
It also shows the BBC journos still don’t bother to check what they write:
Alternated the drone controller to allow the drone to fly further distances, contrary to the Wireless Telegraphy Act 2006
