Are you guys kidding? Have you ever been to Griffith? There are tones of planes, helicopters, buzzing that hill every day. More people go up there to see the city lights than actually look at the stars. Not to mention the people pointing lasers up in the sky to show where some planet is or...
That's not a working Obseratory, it hasnt been for many, many decades. It was built in 1933 for people in mind and it's purely a tourist attraction. Griffith's objective was to make astronomy accessible to the public, as opposed to the prevailing idea that observatories should be located on...
Well the "park" is techinlly only that part of grass and trees on the bluff. If you take the trail down to the rocky beach, I wonder if it's techniclly still forbiden to fly a drone from there? Is the beach still part of the park?
I love the idea of hand catching and launching, and I did try it with a mini 2 but the Air 2S is a lot bigger, a lot heavier and with meaner blades. I know there are a lot of videos on it, but how many of you actually do this? Everyone says the blades can do some serious damage to your fingers...
Someone who is buddies with the FAA Drone guy Kevin? Needs to do a Q and A video with him about how complex this is and how they realistically except people to comply with it in realistic terms not in theory. He was doing a ton of videos with various You Tubers before this, haven't seen him do...
I don't get all this talk about thousands of dollars and lawsuits with an 18 year old kid. Not saying what he did was right, but realistically, he has no money, maybe not even a car. If it's his drone, you can't sue his parents because he's an adult. Chances are very high he has no insurance...
That law or actually its an ordnance that they may quote is from the 70's. Way before drones were in the sky. But they dug it up about 5 years ago to prosecuted some guy who hit a police helicopter in Hollywood so now it's been resurrected as a drone law. They were successful in court because...
Yeah, I think the only drones that have prrecision landing have downard cameras in ADDITIION to downward sensors like the Air 2s. As far as I can see, the M3P has no downward cameras, just basic sensors.
Drones are low hanging fruit that politicians and Karens to pick on. No one stands up in that crowed to defend them really. But when the police want to monitor a protest from overhead or Karen wants a dronie of her house from the Realtor, suddenly they become useful tools. But once that is...
At least the video balanced it out a bit showing drones are good for firefighters to see into buildings with thermal imaging. The media needs to move a way from the quick sound bit that all drones are evil.
I see what you mean but very few. And of those that I have seen, they fall under someone else's control like Palos Verdes who has their own very strict anti-drone laws. What parks do you think are NOT part of LA City safe to fly in?
