    Good for a beginner?

Well, not a particularly substantive statement, since you obviously have little to counter my arguments.

    Good for a beginner?

I have to disagree there too, I don't think you can really compare beginners in both fields. The first big difference between pilots of manned aircraft and remote pilots is that for the latter there is no personal life-threatening risk if something goes wrong. As a result, drones are being...

    Good for a beginner?

This is obviously a matter of opinion. Reporting with 10 years of experience with beginners and after analyzing countless crash reports on the largest European drone forum with 55K members, I have come to the conclusion that relying on autonomous flight modes is a very bad idea, especially but...

    Good for a beginner?

Yes, it's not difficult to use the Mavic 3 Pro as a beginner. And like the Mavic 3 Classic, it's very robust in the wind. The three cameras are of course nice to have and you will quickly get good results. But it will take some time and some learning to really master them at least for filming...

    Waypoint mission problem

It only demonstrates the concept as an example. The difference would of course be greater the greater the difference in elevation and the shorter the lateral distance between the waypoints is. Like I said, I highly doubt that. The point is, he claims several times, DJI is "stupid" by...

    Active Track Top Speed? (Boat)

Something to consider, don‘t know about the US, but at least in Europe it‘s impossible to get any new batteries for the Inspire 1 series.

    Waypoint mission problem

Tested that today, and it does the same in Z-Axis as expected. Straight path of around 400m lateral distance, 4 Waypoints. The 1st at 50m altitude, 2nd and 3rd at 15m, the 4th at 50m again. The drone went through all waypoints, and down to 11m between waypoint 2 and 3.

    Waypoint mission problem

Where did he describe that? Not in #16. ;) But regardless, I do not speculate on such claims. When it comes to crashes, I only get really involved if the flight log can be viewed at Airdata, for example. Experience has shown that the problem is usually less with the drone than with the person...

    Waypoint mission problem

Not for everybody for sure. Do some homework, that's the way with interpolation of waypoints. There is a choice to make, and DJI decided to plan the mission with a path through the waypoints with Bézier interpolation, with the effects @DJI Wes described in #51. The alternative would be "The...

    Lock Exposure

You could be right, and it might be the most convenient way to auto exposure, although for me personally it's not the best. I don't want to mess in post with different noise patterns in every shot. And dialing up ISO is degrading the image no matter if manual or auto, so I always want to be in...

    Lock Exposure

For me it's Auto-Aperture with the 24mm and Auto Shutter Speed with the 70 and 166, both have a finer graduation of 1/3 stops instead of the 1 stop stepping with ISO. Then I let the drone measure the overall exposure of a shot and fine-tune it with EV +/-, then I lock it in with AE-Lock. And up...

    Lock Exposure

That's really surprising. ;) Almost as if DJI technicians would display the overexposure warning a whole f-stop too early in DLog. Or imagine that the exposure of the 24mm and 70mm would be one stop different, despite the same DLog-M profile, aperture, shutter and ISO. But that will never...

    Lock Exposure

You have to set at least one of the exposure parameters to Auto, then AE Lock works in video mode with a dedicated button.

    Mavic 3 Pro lens test

That's my experience too, and the reason, why the first thing I do with every new drone is my own check of the camera(s), if their images are evenly focussed. With a drone it's quite simple. At a spot with a large evenly textured area like a field I get the drone in the air and shoot some 90°...

    Gimbal lock option

I don't think the gimbal of the M3P is more fragile than the other Mavic 3. I've already tested it unintentionally. ;) Dropped after contact with a tree from about 3m. The drone is fine. I was testing Active Track with 70mm and obstacles between me and the drone. So it's not particularly...
