HR 302 signed - headed to POTUS for signature

I'm thinking it'l likely be something like the AMA who will administer.

Near loss in Atti mode (flyaway)

Those are usually HDPE or PVC, both non-metallic. Iron/steel pipes are usually buried 6' or greater down, so unlikely to be a factor.

Why does normal look better than d-cinelike/d-log?

One of the assumptions of a LUT is that they assume that there is good footage going into the LUT in the first place. It's the ol' GIGO problem (garbage in, garbage out). What I do is pretty much what they show in the video. I use DaVinci Resolve, so I have a corrections node before my LUT...

Why does normal look better than d-cinelike/d-log?

Read my post up above, I did exactly that.

Took ownership of third Mavic Pro today.

Ehhhh. It covers water damage, so if you can recover it, it'd be covered. Trick is finding it tho! :)

Why does normal look better than d-cinelike/d-log?

You may want to try the free d-log LUT from Ground Control. FREE D-LOG to Rec.709 LUT Gives you a good starting point to tweak from, and the price is certainly right. Also may want to look at their "how to" guide The Ultimate LUT Guide

    New pilot - Disappointed

At the risk of starting a messy flamewar, I have genuine doubts about the statement above. As a part 107 pilot, you can't fly over 400'. As a recreational pilot flying under Public Law 112-95 Sec 336 (c) (2), there are no AGL limits. If I look at AMA (nationally recognized community...

Help calculating search radius for downed mavic

I don't know if you've done much geocaching, but the GPS coordinates are usually just the start of the hunt unfortunately. Your phone may have better accuracy than your GPS unit. I use GPS Status on Android which would give you the accuracy you're looking for...I think. I can't get a fix in...

    Flying at a High School

I guess you don't quite understand what "may not promulgate any rule or regulation regarding a model aircraft" means? I fly under section 336, not part 107, which was plainly stated at the beginning of my post. A UAS pilot is under more regulations under part 107 than section 336, as well it...
