Hi there, I tape a reusable or disposable hand warmer pad to the back of the phone. Been doing this for years as I fly RC airplanes in the Swedish winter. Works fine. Gloves with holes for the index and thumbs also help! :)

Ok now flew with my galaxy S8 at -10 degrees celcius. Everything was fine. Flew for 20 mins. Apple crap phones shut down very quickly. M2P fine, S8 fine, Iphone 6S and X crap. Just make sure the air is dry and realise the air is much colder high above ground level.
