Fly app for RC is a part of RC firmware. It always comes as firmware update with ~800MB size.

~7.5KM (RTH kicked in due to battery level). FCC, DJI RC.

in Manual they write that shipped battery is in hibernation state, so no light is normal. It must be connected to charger to wakeup. So nothing wrong with this. Battery will go to this hibernate state again if not used about 60 days (IIRC), so will require to connect to charger again. RTFM :)

I flew 7.5KM with DJI RC, FCC mode. I've climbed the mountain near the city (~500m height) and flew through the whole city and almost reached the other city, but Mini 3 Pro decided that battery level is low and activated RTH. Probably i could fly more far if not the battery limit..

M3 has side obstacle sensors AFAIK while M3P doesn't. That's a big game changer.

While it could be nice to have ability to install 3rd party apps, original app is supporting all features of Mini 3 Pro with adequate interface. What 3rd party app can offer? Some auto-pilot by way points? I don't need it. I enjoy manual fly.

I have 3D printer and i know problems of printed things. I wouldn't trust 3D printed hooks. It really doesn't worth the risk since you can buy lanyard with metallic screw hooks from Aliexpress or Amazon. Prices start from ~$5.

Can launch from hand without throwing if you can keep RC by one hand (using lanyard should help).

Those who have range issue: try force 2.4GHz and force 5GHz. 2.4GHz i think is quite busy band and may affect the range.

There is no FCC logo as far as i see. There is a sticker on box with CE and NCC. NCC is Taiwan analog of FCC. In communication i set "auto" frequency and drone choose 5.8GHz band. 2.4GHz is too noisy in my area according to graph on RC.
