Well I have an update from DJI. They are going to replace my drone!
They confirm. “The unfortunate incident that occurred to your aircraft has been confirmed as a warranty case according to our data analysis”.
“We would like to offer you a replacement Mavic Air 2 aircraft”.
Well as you can...
Well I’m in the process with DJI to find out if I can get a drone replacement. Sent the flight logs to them and I do have DJI care, not that is going to get me anywhere. Didn’t recover the drone ☹️ Wish me luck.
Not really an option. We were visiting family. We did post on the local community pages to see if it gets washed up somewhere. Not holding much hope. ☹️☹️
Ok I flew the drone the previous day with the same battery from 100%. It flew flawlessly. Put in back in its case and then did not fly again til the fatal crash. Battery was definitely in place. Just have to hope that DJI help me out. I believe I did nothing wrong
What is really odd is that I was flying in Tripod mode. Supposedly the most stable flight mode there is. If Atti did activate then it has definitely killed my drone. The return to home feature failed to activate and now I’m almost au$2000 out of pocket ☹️☹️☹️☹️
