    Programmable Drones?

Look at the Tello. You can easily control multiple Tellos from a single computer. The Tello is designed to be used in education and is ideal for your purposes. I am a programmer and would help you if you like. I have been considering being a Tello Edu evangelist.

My Innapropriate plan for short tunnel exploration??

Unless there is likely to be something of interest in there I don't think I would bother. BUT if you did want to try it then strap a couple of Lume Cubes to the Pro and point one forward and one down and forward. This should provide enough light for the visual positioning to work. I believe that...

Lost controls of Mavic Air while mid air

Until you have built up a number of flight hours and got to know your drone you should fly as if you have no insurance. So you have $1000 of drone and if you mess it up then you will lose it, no refunds, no second chances. This should affect where you fly. Choose a wide open area with no water...

Lost my Mavic Air (I am an idiot)

What software/site is used to get the wind profile please?

    lost mavic pro

If you are flying vertically up then you should have your antenna parallel to the ground. Having them pointing up could definitely result in a loss of connection.

I may be wrong but I believe that the home point is registered using both GPS and visually using the camera. That is why you are recommended to ascend to 10m to record your home point. In the dark you are relying purely on GPS. If there are insufficient sats locked then your home point accuracy...

If you take off without recording a home point then you will not return to where you expect if you are disconnected.

    lost mavic pro

Sorry, that may have been harsh and you had the guts to post on this forum so at least you deserve some respect for that. If you took off at night there is a danger that your RTH point was not recorded. If a RTH is initiated and your drone is 5m away from the RECORDED RTH point then it will...

    lost mavic pro

This is so believable. DJI have been adding in extras to drones so it gets to the point where they are considered fool proof. You can also get insurance so anything you do will be the responsibility of the insurer. I built drones for years and they had none of the bells and whistles. When i...

    Bit of Advice?

I would recommend buying a Tello and a games controller. That way you can fly in the house or the garden and practise figure of 8 and circles and general flying. When you can fly a Tello both from sight and via watching the screen then you will be much more confident with your mavic. Having the...

Gatwick Airport (UK) suspends flights due to Drone activity

What an awful article that is with regards to spelling and grammatical errors.

BREAKING Flights at Gatwick Airport halted amid reports of drone flying in area

I hope that the police have checked out Amberley Fields Caravan Club Site. IF I was to be launching an attack on the airport then that is where I would base myself. You can pop up from behind the trees and be over the runway in a matter of a few seconds.

Gatwick Airport (UK) suspends flights due to Drone activity

A radio controlled airship might explain how it manages to stay aloft for so long.

Gatwick Airport (UK) suspends flights due to Drone activity

Surely another drone would be ideal to use. Either the drone follows the target or tries to bring it down by colliding with it. With a thermal camera it should not be too difficult to locate the target and descending into a drone would surely cause it to crash.
