Does anyone else get that pit in their stomach...

Thanks for all the good advice. I have considered coming up with floats of some sort, but the thing is, I realize right off the bat that any of them are going to multiply the wind resistance of the drone terribly. One of the best things about the Air 2 and I suspect all similar drones is the...

My Project: On Stuart Lake - using drone to record wildlife living in a lake

I happen to live by this wonderful natural lake in the middle of a very rurban area, and it is populated with many large fish and turtles, as well as things like ducks, herons and deer. I have been learning how to watch their behavior using a drone in ways I never could before. And I must say...

Does anyone else get that pit in their stomach...

When I bought my MA2, a big part of my purpose was to get good pictures and videos of the critters that live in a lake near me. At first I was very cautious, staying over land in my yard until I got comfortable, then went through a week or so of confidence building and experimentation over the...

Mavic pro went crazy, unable control and crash.

Hi, I still think it looks like the Drone was going through recovery flips, as if it hit a branch or something, as a false error. I could be wrong, as others in may be able to clarify what the data would say different if that were true.

Mavic pro went crazy, unable control and crash.

I suggested in your other thread about this incident that it looks misty in the video, and I am wondering if moisture could be the culprit here. I still think that after reading through this thread, and I also found the following statements in this thread, post #6: " Yes when water get inside...

    MAVIC PRO UNSUSPECTED CRASH

I notice it looks misty in the video. How wet was the environment? Did this happen during a misting rain? I am learning that moisture is a serious potential factor with the Air 2 drones if it makes its way into the innards. The Pro design is not that different. My issue has come from a...

New Pilot in Wolverine Lake, Michigan, USA, Earth "On Stuart Lake" with a happy hello

I also have a crash/recovery history from my first 3 months of Mavic ownership that I can talk about. I am pretty good at recovery as well as avoidance while undertaking dangerous challenges (dangerous to the DRONE, NEVER to any PEOPLE!!!). I got the pole at Home Depot, 8' extendable out to...

New Pilot in Wolverine Lake, Michigan, USA, Earth "On Stuart Lake" with a happy hello

I am actually now a bit of an experienced pilot - I bought my drone back in June and it is now September as I post this. I am currently awaiting a replacement drone on the wonderful DJI Refresh program, and this will be the second time I have sent my baby into DJI after a crash. I happen to...
