Plus if you are out in the country beyond cell coverage then the whole DJI locating is useless. I live in Nevada and most of my flights are "off the grid" but you can get into poor cell signals anywhere.

The speed of a moving ship more often than not will exceed the maximum speed of a Mavic Air. Thus the instant you take off it will be flying away, never to return. Kind of makes this discussion moot. So I would suggest making sure your name and address is on it and you attach a flotation device.
