I called the police & fire department command center in my city to ask about city ordinances or restrictions on drone operations. They had no idea what I was talking about as if I were speaking a foreign language. So it’s FAA rules only.
I value my life I only get one chance to live it. That being said walking up fully armed in the middle of the night on an armed police officer who lays their life down every day is total disrespect. Troll my post. Have at it.
If you could meet a park ranger explain what you’re doing find out if they know the laws and then make a connection you might get awesome opportunities within their jurisdiction. I think they would appreciate the honesty and might reward you with no hassles.
I’m nervous every time I throw a thousand dollars into the sky. I’ve lost connection on my brand new MA2 in close proximity several times. Yes we have logs and techie tools but I’m not a nasa engineer & never will be.
The MA 2 controller says the BSA NWTH ZONE is ok to fly, BUT, I had one scary minute where I got an aircraft approaching warning & ONLY 30 seconds later here comes a helicopter. I wasn’t in their flight path and only 50’ up, but things could have been worse. Medi park lakes are great to fly over...
