Last friday I was flying to shoot some video of a skating group and was treated with a surprise. 3 Hot air balloons flew over us, so... I followed them for a short period and shot some nice footage:
Have a great time watching this video!

Last sunday me and a few other drone pilots flew near this lock and weir location called Amerongen in the Netherlands.
I would like to share this video, watch at 1:42 were I even fly underneath the arches :-).
I use it already for a few weeks with a Smart controller and Mavic 2 Pro.
It works great. Range really got extended and I noticed this especially in an area with lots of interference (due to concrete and solar panels). I used to loose connection everytime flying in a certain spot and now it...
Yes, it will. Always hit the RTH button at such a problem. This works, but not when you're controller battery died. But in that case... you got signal loss and it should return home :)
Great to read that you're drone is still intact and you and your son got a little exercise ;-)

Hi all,
Yesterday I spoke to a fellow drone pilot about the Regular and HD-Mode which can be switched within the settings of the Smart controller.
I read somewhere you experience less range issues when using the regular mode. When I switch I see the bandwith used drop from around 11 Mb/s to 6...
I updated the firmware the day before yesterday and took it for a spin around a bridge (which will be torn down this year). It worked great, no problems here!
And this bridge (dating from 1936) can be viewed here:
No it works and you can see everything, but it's still better in the shade. Range is good, I read that setting image-quality to smooth instead of HD wil give more range. I have to try that. At the moment my max. range was 2 kilometres, but could go further.
Recently I flew with 5 other drone...
Last week it finally was sunny weather (after weeks of rain and cold) in the Netherlands.
With a group of Drone pilots (called Drone Fanatics) we went to Muiden to fly around and above Amsterdam Castle (Muiderslot).
It turned out to be nice weather also for sailing boats on the lake IJmeer, so...
I recently switched from a Phantom 4 Pro+ (the one with a screen on the controller) to the Mavic 2 Pro with Smart Controller. I'm very fond of it, it works great even in sunny weather (although it still is best to stand in the shade while viewing your screen).
The setup without my mobile phone...
thanks for your feedback. You’re right, it sometimes looks cartoonish and flying not that smooth. Will take this in mind for future flights and videos!
The last few days I’ve been walking and flying in the fortified city (Vestingstad) Heusden in the Netherlands.
This really is a must-see when you like these type of cities.
Some advice for this: always start from a location with enough space for this failsafe RTH to work. Sometimes I see people start their drone from under trees, fly out to an open field (a few metres in front of them) and then do their thing. When those people get a failsafe RTH because their...
Since a few days I bought Dronelink. It certainly has a lot of features and makes offline planning also fun!
You can create quite a lot of special effects with this software!
Next to my Mavic Pro, I also own a Phantom 4 Pro Plus (+). But didn't use Dronelink on that device yet, because the...
