yes - that's what i did a lot in my latest clips and thanks to the great resolution it works. the HQ mode still offered the full resolution output right? that footage back then was just perfect, only the 60fps was missing which i would never wanna live without now... is it optically difficult...

def not an option. if you own a M3 you know that that tele lens is more like an add on but you would never shoot on it as a main camera. much too close (makes it unstable) and reduced functionality/quality. that's prob also why they took it out now

I just tried the Mavic 3 with an iPad Pro M1 12,9" 2021 I just bought for that purpose but didn't like it at all. The transmitted image while flying looks much worse than on the smart controller. The screen is reflecting and by far not bright enough (600 nits) in the sun. Also lacking contrast...
