Air3/3S battery charge speed & charger discussion

No curve for 60W. Yes, I measured that myself. I had to videotape the wattage meter and take readings over time when I played back the video. It's a bit crude, but illustrates the point.

Air3/3S battery charge speed & charger discussion

Just an FYI, even at 100 watts, it's only for the first fifteen minutes, then the charging cradle will start throttling down the input wattage. This is for a battery discharged to 5%.

100w home charger for air 3s

Are you using a 100W rated USB-C cable? The one that DJI supplies with the 'fly more combo' kit isn't rated for 100W - you'll never get 100W in with that cable. The other issue could still be the powerbank . Not all powerbanks can successfully handshake with the charging cradle to supply 20V...

100w home charger for air 3s

The 3S charging cradle determines the input charging wattage - not the output of the charging brick. So, a 1000W brick would still only supply 100W. There is a handshake going on between the brick and the charging cradle (assuming the brick was properly designed). DJI sells a 100W charging...

100w home charger for air 3s

DJI also makes a 100W charging brick - compatible with the 3S. This is common knowledge. You can view it here; Buy DJI 100W USB-C Power Adapter - DJI Store This time, actually LOOK at the links I've provided. So let me make this as clear as I can. The 3S charging cradle will in fact take...

100w home charger for air 3s

I'm not sure what you are disagreeing with. This thread is about the Air 3S. So let me make this as clear as I can. The 3S charging cradle will in fact take 100W with the correct charging brick and cable - with a battery drained to below 10%. This was proven in my post here (MEASURED)...

That would in-drone charging. The charging cradle will take 100W with the correct brick and cable. This was proven here. Another Alternative To The DJI 100W Charger

This post illustrates one way to get 100W into the charging hub - using an Amazon basics charger with a charging cable rated to at least 100W. Another Alternative To The DJI 100W Charger

Another Alternative To The DJI 100W Charger

"PD stands for Power Delivery, and it's a technology that allows USB to provide more power and data over a single cable." "now it is vacillating between 2 and 4". Normal, charging wattage always lowers as the battery gets closer to 100% charge. "the watt meter was only going as high as 40"...
