As mentioned above, a couple of companies (Known in cyber security circles as being legit) tested several DJI drones that they purchased off the shelf, not DJI supplied ringers. They did not find anything near what is being accused.

This is only half of the equation though. Bad guys have drones too, lots of them and they too know how to use them. Uncle Sam needs to work on defensive technology as well, both in the form of hunter/seeker drones and jamming/emp devices.
