Honestly, this is alarmist. There is no way they are going to have a total purchase and user ban. DJI is the top selling drone brand in the world. The drone industry, including small companies, like I run, will lose their minds. Also, preventing certain brands of drones from using publicly...
The title says it. I now have confirmed with one other pilot that has the same exact issue. After the most recent DJI RC pro enterprise firmware update, the initial audio message when RTK is enabled is in Chinese. Everything else is in English. I haven’t confirmed if it also does it with my...
I purchased a Mavic three thermal and had to fill out an import form. And that was not directly from DJI, but a different vendor.
You basically have to attest that you’re not going to transfer it to North Korea or, ironically, China. It must be a new requirement at the federal level.
A few things there. Part 107 has nothing to do with photography per se. It has to do with the purpose of the flight at the time it's made. So, if you're going to take a photo with your drone with the intent of selling that photo, you would need a Part 107 license because the flight was...
I have four charged batteries at all times. Plus I can mobile charge. Also, I use a a ribbon cable from StsrtRC and can add an extra 3s lipo 2200mah.
I also have a 3T with much longer times, obviously.
I do stuff like that all the time. I would run it through my company, Mid-Atlantic Drone Services LLC. PM me for a quote. Feel free to check out my website for some basic editing.
I don’t think I’d listen to negative reviews. I’ve had the air 2S for almost 2 years. It is my main photography drone. I recently started a business after becoming certified. I also have a Mavic 3T for thermal, mapping and inspection work.
In my opinion, the 2S is still a very difficult drone...
You’ve already stated that. Again, I disagree. There’s plenty of value in speculating especially if hard data isn’t available. No need to go back-and-forth about it. I’m OK with disagreement.
Yeah, I respectfully disagree. That kind of behavior points clearly to the possibility of some kind of significant interference with the radio and likely GPS. You’re right that we don’t know that for sure, but it is the most likely explanation. Other explanations include electronic/mechanical...
I just got the 3T. I’m planning on working with roofers, pet search, residential solar, etc. For me it was a no brainer. Thermal is in very high demand.
Obviously some sort of interference, perhaps coupled with another failure. I’d bet it was the interference. That said, if you’re not getting much beyond 2,000 ft range, that’s a problem. You may be getting interference in one or both radio bands (2.4 and 5.8). There are areas where you need...
I've had my share of issues, but they were my fault. If you use the right battery, secured properly, it's great to have the extra flight time. I don't "futz" with it. Once it's installed, not much needs to be done other than start the drone and then plug in the battery.
I agree. I get at least as much paranoia and fake Rules Tough Guys (who don't know anything) as I do people that are interested,
Well...I will say that airlines don't seem to care much about battery limitations. I've taken my Air 2s with 4 OEM batteries and 4, third-party LIPOS (all in a...
