Using a Mavic Pro photo as a centerfold

If the magazine is a typical size, a centerfold would be 17 inches wide, plus about a half inch for bleed/trim. So at a standard magazine's 300 pixels per inch, you would need a file that is at least 5250 pixels wide. The quality and focus would have to be adequate because the picture could not...

Resolution of mavic pro/ Printing Images

Optimum printing resolution depends on the process they are using. Best to ask them. It can vary greatly depending on their equipment. They will probably state a number that is DPI (dots per inch) instead of pixels. But basically they are interchangeable for your calculation. For instance, if...

UK Police drone saves mans life.

It is hard to change people's perception. Most media coverage is negative. Many will see this article and use it as proof that drones can spy on them from above.

    Mantis Claw

Got it... thanks. Just make sure you drop it where there is enough room to fly horizontal for a bit. :)

    Mantis Claw

How does one release the object after arriving at the delivery point? Also... if worried about snagging on something too big, perhaps a friction release (like a clothespin or small clamp) can be rigged on the line where a substantial "tug" on the line would pull it loose. I think a mavic could...

    Active track a dog

Difficult due to speed and their 2D profile changes as they turn different directions. Try putting something with a bright color on him to enhance the contrast so the drone follows the color rather than the dog.

    Fly between coordinates?

I would think it easier to just walk the line with a phone that has GPS and use that to place break crumb markers. There are several apps that display a trace of your devices route just like DJI does for the drone. I use an iPad with GPS and it works fine when out of cellular range. I used it...

Caving with Mavic Pro - Long

Beautiful both above and below ground. Nice flying assuming that you lost gps while in the depths of the cave. The people give a nice comparison for size.

How can I file a complaint with the FAA concerning a low-level flyover?

FR24 doesn't show the military helicopters over my area. I use it often to check before I fly. It is a nice app to have.

How can I file a complaint with the FAA concerning a low-level flyover?

Is this low enough? Last summer when they were spraying a neighboring farm, they cut straight across my property every time they refilled their sprayers. Video taken from my backyard. Only their first flight catches me by surprise... once I know they are around, I won't fly. Military copters...

What did you name your Mavic Pro?

Since my MPP was born in China, I decided to name it 飞机 "fei ji" which is roughly "flying machine". I'm just hoping it never decides to return to it's birthplace.

How can I file a complaint with the FAA concerning a low-level flyover?

Military helicopters fly low over my area all the time. They rattle the windows in my house as they pass over. Due to the hilly landscape they can appear quickly giving me little time to react.... and I'm sure my drone would be the same problem for them. When agricultural copters are spraying, I...
