DGI Goggles vs Epson Moverio BT-300

The only 'VR' hardware I have to compare DJI Goggles against is a Google Daydream headset with my Google Pixel XL (display resolution in landscape mode : 2560 x 1440 pixels). I haven't used the Daydream for drone FPV. But based on the best VR app I've seen in the Daydream and what I see when...

DGI Goggles vs Epson Moverio BT-300

It works sideways. I was using mine in landscape before I got a 3d-printed adapter. It feels weird at first but you can get used to it if you practice enough.

Head Mounted Display (DJI Googles, BT-300, etc.) Vision Correction Issues

3.5 for my right eye and 1.5 for my left, in the Goggles. About 0.5 less in the BT-300

Head Mounted Display (DJI Googles, BT-300, etc.) Vision Correction Issues

I've seen a few threads on DJI Goggles / Moverio BT-300, etc. branch out into discussions about issues with vision correction. I responded to a few of the issues raised, but I thought it may be useful to summarize what has been discussed so far, and a little that has been overlooked, and give...

DGI Goggles vs Epson Moverio BT-300

Bifocals (or varifocals) are probably not going to work in any head-mounted display. See my post explaining why here : Head Mounted Display (DJI Googles, BT-300, etc.) Vision Correction Issues

    First Negative Encounter

"... I was afraid he would come into the yard and to the door and at that point I might have to bring something out he didn't want to see." I was with you all the way until that comment. The neighbor threatens you with police for invading his privacy. Why consider escalating to firearms in...

    TheFlyingTinman checking in.

Been a member for a while, but just noticed this forum, so: Mavic Pro is my first drone. Been interested in aerial videography for a long time but before I got the Mavic I had to do it non-autonomously ;) : Now I'm trying to figure out a way to use my Mavic to (safely) capture flying...

DGI Goggles vs Epson Moverio BT-300

I didn't even realize there was a promo. I guess I was just lucky to order while it was on, as I got the Rochester shades bundled with mine. I use them almost exclusively, to the point that I leave them attached to the BT-300 more for less permanently.

DGI Goggles vs Epson Moverio BT-300

If you are handy with power tools (or know someone who is) you don't need to get an expensive prescription fitted into the Rochester frames. Just take your Moverio to the pharmacy, try on some cheap reading glasses with the Moverio until you find a pair that make the display clearest. Then at...

How does "tap to focus" function work when wearing DJI Goggles?

My prescription is varifocal, which, like bi-focal, tri-focal, etc., rely on slightly tilting the head up or down to look out through different parts of the lenses for focussing at different distances. In any head-mounted display that means only a horizontal band is in focus and anything above...

    Flying over water

GPS can only tell the Mavic its absolute position in 3D space, not how high above the surface it is flying. I suppose that a smart application could conceivably calculate ground clearance from GPS data if it also had access to VERY detail topolographic map data of the area in which you are...

Who wants to buy my goggles, they suck.

Why would you offer $100 : The OP himself said it isn't worth $20 ;)

Who wants to buy my goggles, they suck.

They are two different use cases. "no comparison" because they aren't meant to be compared. The Moverio is an augmented reality "glasses" (Like Google Glass but with binocular displays) that can give you a head-up display of the FPV feed (and DJI Go app) while maintaining visual line of sight...

YOU yourself posted the following about the linking instructions : There is nothing ambiguous about that : it clearly states that there are two options. Either use the "link Buttons on the Mavic Pro and DJI Goggles" OR use the : Settings menu option. Yes, there is a linking button on the...
