You can go use the DJI "Smart Controller" Like I have also. You must unbind the two from your account or you won't be able to fly. Have to go into "profile", then device management.

Get a cheap rangefinder from Walmart. It might take a few tries but it should be able to pick up a M2 sized object in the air. Or go to Home Depot and get a Bosch laser measure. But those typically only go up to 165' but accurate to the inch.

I bought 2 licenses from NLD the past few years. They are very receptive in helping folks out. I also am on their Discord channel and the developers are always available. Rock solid group but they are in like Norway or something so keep that in mind if you email them.
