    Flight Data tracking

Airdata does track individual battery details, but only if you have one of the paid plans. That's the main reason I have subscribed to their paid service for a couple of years now. I find it works well and I like having easy access to all of the flight data outside DJI's system.

Rules for Flying NEAR a national park. USA

Good to know... I thought they all were treated the same. Nice to hear there are positive exceptions!

Rules for Flying NEAR a national park. USA

The rules are the same for national parks, national monuments, national recreation areas, wilderness areas, national seashores, etc. Except for the few mentioned above that have specific FAA rules as well.

Rules for Flying NEAR a national park. USA

Yes you can do this legally. Park rangers have been known to assist fliers by informing them of the boundaries so they'd know where to take off from to fly over a national park. Of course, many national parks are so large this becomes impractical but for a small park, it's quite useful!

Rules for Flying NEAR a national park. USA

Barring any other airspace restrictions, you can fly near and over a national park as long as you do not ot take off, land or control the drone from within park boundaries.

Finding it difficult to legally fly my drone

National monuments, national historic sites, national recreation areas, wilderness areas, etc all follow the same rules as national parks - no launching, landing or controlling drones from their land. National forests are not restricted.

What’s your max distance legal VLOS flight?

Yeah I got to add my voice to the chorus of 'oh no you didn't!!' I don't care how good your eye sight is, no one can see a Mavic 11,000 ft away. I doubt it is even possible with strobes. Perhaps you were able to find it with binoculars or a spotting scope after some searching but that doesn't...

    Altitude

Yes but can you count dragging the string as it is caught in the terrain to help you when the ground elevation changes? [emoji6] Just get said string stuck in a bush (or caught by a kitten) and you can fly straight out from the cliff! [emoji12] Seriously, though, the FAA needs to enhance the...

    Spinal fusion

I had an anterior/posterior L4-S1 fusion in 2003 to repair damage from a fall off a roof. The surgery was technically a success but a few months after surgery my pain increased dramatically. Turns out I develop scar tissue too readily and nothing stopped it. Spent many months in physical...

    Looking for suggestions

Target can lookup purchases made with a credit or debit card. As long as it wasn't bought with cash, I would expect them to be able to do so for you. If you bring them the purchase card and battery, they can scan for both to look it up.

    Fluidity FT Aviator Feedback

I finally got my Aviator and did some testing with it. I like it a lot. I did not have any connection issues nor did I have any of the jerky movement that Ken demonstrated in his 'review.' This method of control is very natural to me and I'm looking forward to using it. I don't have any issues...
