I never had a DJI drone that had a software limit to distance. I thought I thought I read somewhere Mavic 2 could theoretically fly 18 km? But perhaps that’s only battery capacity and requires to be in range of the controller?
Is it safe to conclude that the new Dynamic Home point feature is ONLY updating the home point to current AC postition while tracking.
And that the right button of the two manual home point buttons updates the home point on the map if gps is available to DJI Go. Which in fact means where the...
I guess the real change log/bug fix document might be several pages long if you get in to all the technicalities. Too bad they won't share a little more with us. [emoji20]
My experience also is if I HAVE to take off from a surface with metal/reinforced concrete, DON'T calibrate the compass there. The error messages will go away as soon as you lift off and get away from the interference. But still if your previous calibration is from a location far away I would...
I also got the same Forward sensor warning when flying for the first time. I calibrated using Assistant but I got the feeling the calibration was not completed successfully as Assistant never gave me an "ok"/" success ".
However, the Mavic seems fine now. Have you tried flying it after the...
Quick question:
The auto take off issue where sometimes the motors would shut off mid air after take off... Has that issue been fixed?

Maybe there is an issue with Mavic regarding 1080, I don't know (i only have a Phantom 3), I'm talking in general regarding stuttering and frame rates. [emoji106][emoji16]

My experience is that filters and shutter speeds do not affect what looks like compression artifacts from DJI, hence the waterpaint/oilpaint look.

Flight radar is a good idea! It will only show you aircraft with an active transponder registered by the system where the app gets its information though.

Try a testclip in 720 or 1080 with a higher frame rate and you should see a difference. This is why traditional TV videographers shooting at the higher TV frame rates 50i/60i can move and pan much quicker without getting the strobe like stutter than film photographers can shooting 24 fps. There...
Up close those photos look somewhat like watercolor/oil paintings.
Does RAW give the same result?
I only own a Phantom 3 and I also have issues with trees and bushes getting overly compressed I video but not oil painting like.

Those clips look as expected.
Low frame rates (24/25/30) combined with high shutter (sometimes also with low shutter if movement is fast) give this look. Try moving sideways like a dolly instead of panning. Professional film photographers have taken these considerations from the beginning of the...
Off course the moiree issue and stuttering due to horisontal movement with low frame rates are two different things, but you already knew that. [emoji2][emoji106]
