Good point, I hadn't thought about notifying the manufacturers . I love flying my drone, I just don't want to see FAA tighten it down more than they already have. Everyone can do anything they want that's illegal.....just don't get caught!

If you love flying drones, the drone police should be out. Stay within the regs. Sheesh!

So much for staying within FAA regulations. Because of folks doing this they will lock hobby drones down.

I just downloaded the DJI Flight Simulator zip file, extracted the zip file and double clicked on the .exe file. half way through loading my Webroot Secure Anywhere caught a trojan within DJI's software. I realize this is a Chinese company and now I am wonder how much they are integrated into...

Dang this is a long thread. I would say if in doubt just go ask permission and mention how much you love trains. I would bet they will allow you.

It works fine while sitting in your car? I would think you would have a lot of metal and magnetic interference.

I know they shoot frozen chicken into the bigger jet engines when testing for damage. It just chops it up and spits it out the back. Smaller planes like Cessna's no doubt would do prop, wing or fuselage damage.
