Still be a little cautious of Kittyhawk. There is a Part 93 airspace (Class D) near me that B4UFLY clearly shows as Part 93 but KittyHawk only shows it as an MOA SUA.
I think you all must have old software, My GO 4 only asks one question, If I take responsibility. Always have LANNC authorization. iPhone is not linked to GO 4, I use a Crystal Sky monitor.
Here is a tip, when I receive my controlled airspace authorization through LANNC (I use Kittyhawk) or Dronezone, I save the text as PDF and save it in my drone folder for future use, if needed.
Recreational rules are exactly like Part 107 rules. The only difference is we cannot make money from our flights. Everything else is the same including authorizations and some limited waivers.
The 500 feet references the FAA regulation that fixed wing aircraft cannot fly lower than 500 feet unless taking off or landing. So I think that is their way of prohibiting UAS flying.
UAS flights are all in AGL not MSL. MSL is used on sectional charts as a universal standard. So if you are standing at 4000 ft MSL you can fly 400 feet AGL in uncontrolled airspace. If in controlled airspace there are different AGL limits based, generally, on how far from the airport you are.
National Parks https://www.nps.gov/articles/unmanned-aircraft-in-the-national-parks.htm
National Forests, most allow flights with some restrictions. https://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/invalidurl
US Congress designated Wildlife areas are no fly zones.
DJI does not make restrictions the FAA does. Check B4YFly for controlled airspace and then check FAA NOTAM,s for specific airspace restrictions for special events. Notices to Airmen
