Amazon drone makes emergency landing in Arizona neighborhood

Exactly. Drone deliveries are not a replacement for ground delivery, but an additional option in limited markets for quick delivery of a few items.

Amazon drone makes emergency landing in Arizona neighborhood

Has anyone bothered to research this topic? Seems like nothing but assumptions here. Amazon is already using drones in certain parts of the country. Former co-worker in Texas has had a drone deliver items twice to his house. Cable drops the package down in his driveway immediately after...

Amazon drone makes emergency landing in Arizona neighborhood

Do any of you plan for an emergency? We should. I try to scope out a few spots where I could land emergently and be able to retrieve my drone on most of my flights. Few of us could do it as flawlessly as this Amazon drone did.

That is Torque, he is a Greyhound x Scottish Deerhound - so a fuzzy, taller than normal Greyhound looking goofball.

The Mavic 4 Pro is coming to Canada and Mexico, but not the USA (for now).

"Anyhow: officially it’s going on sale in Canada, Mexico, and every other country where DJI sells drones, but the company tells The Verge it has no timeline on bringing it to the US. DJI won’t honor its limited warranty if you cross the border to purchase one in Canada or Mexico."...

The Mavic 4 Pro is coming to Canada and Mexico, but not the USA (for now).

Sure, log into DJI chat and ask them. That is what I did after reading the fact that there is no warranty available in the US from several sources yesterday. DJI chat person said they have no US release date and and no US warranty or extended care would be offered on purchases outside of the...

Use avata 2 and neo at same time

I often fly with 2 to 3 other "pilots" and never had an issue with transmission problems. However we communicate our positions verbally with one another constantly. A couple of near head on collisions made us realize we need to call out our positions as we tend to shoot a lot of gaps. Not...

Orlando Drone Show Goes Horribly Wrong as Out of Control UAVs Hit the Crowd at Full Speed – Seriously Injured 7-Year-Old Boy Is Recovering After Heart

I agree with Hank970 above. Healthcare professional for 40+ years here and I can just picture the scenario in my mind: Mother is told by paramedic, EMT or MD; "The impact of the drone to his chest was like a shock to his heart." Mom hears "The Drone electrocuted his heart."

How many here dont know how to fly?

LOL, I remember back in the Phantom 1 days when this forum was brand new, I suggested pilots learn to fly patterns like circles, squares, ovals, etc. and I was met with a lot of arguments from forum members who claimed the Phantom was "an out and back unit" and claimed there was no need to learn...

New Jersey Drone Sightings May Not Be Drones. By Professor Will Austin.

You should be able to suss out from what you've read that the FAA does NOT do research on Drones, new planes, new propeller designs, etc. Studying and "researching" ways to keep the sky safe is not product research.

Drone collides AND grounds a firefighting Super Scooper in LA...

I tried stabbing my arm with a piece of straw, didn't even leave a scratch. Yet I've seen tornadoes bury a piece of dry straw several inches deep in a tree trunk. That must really hurt the heads of the armchair physicists here.
