Having the uphill end thicker and the downhill end thinner causes the drone to be at a greater angle off horizontal -

Please explain. It seems it would be possible to offset a sloped landing surface only if the drone was attached to the foam blocks at an angle. The foam blocks prevent the motors from shutting down after landing? How?
