Thanks for the kind words everyone. I actually used a separate ocean sound clip and sync'd it with my video as closely as I could. I have already noted to myself that I need a little more viewing time on some of the scenes, which I have been working on in my recent videos!
Its pretty easy imo. I would recommend you try it on some scrap wiring and learn soem soldering because it can be extremely handy. Now try replacing a motor on a Tarot 810 though.. talk about complete body disassembly. Thankfully years of drone building will polish up anyones soldering skills!
You're right. Its a glorified toy haha, the term "toy" is relative to the amount of money you spent on it! A cheapo chinese drone is not any more or less of a toy than the Mavic.
Glad you didnt have any catastrophic damage. Im already on my second Mavic because of my ignorance to actually look...
Wow you guys have free waterslides? Haha jk Ive read about that spillway a few times, pretty interesting. Im not surprised a few people have lost their lives, looks like a pretty big drop and I cant even imagine the water pressure through that thing
Thanks! He really was more curious than anything. I had a myriad of people coming up to me whenever I fly. From Police, security, tourists and locals. They were pretty amazed drones have gotten to a point where it fit in my bag. Shouldve seen their faces when I folded the arms in haha
The man asked about Cancun..
I went in December on Spirit Airlines. Had the Mavic in the fly more bag with 3 batteries (fully charged oops), 15,000mah external battery, gopro 5 and 4 batteries. Note: no battery terminal protectors or anything fancy. Carried it on and carried it off. It was...
I highly doubt any update will fix it. the higher framerates on 1080 (and 1080 in general) utilize pixel bining for faster transmission rate for the DJI goggles. Optimum recording resolution is 2.7 or 4k.
With the availability and promotions of newer modern day drones we will see a huge influx of newbie fliers. We can show them rules and regulations but only hope that they apply it in real flying scenarios. I am guilty of policing a few months ago but the FAA has stepped up and have attempted to...
Not sure if youre talking about me specifically but most of my flights are over water. I do alot of watersports and most of my vacations are at beaches. Ironically, I didnt crash into the ocean but a pool lol
Yeah it was more of an "action" kind of video so the music was syncd with the frames. Il be doing more cinematic stuff very soon when I go backpacking next weekend.
Thank you, I have learned alot since I made this video so im confident my future videos will be a good amount better.
As for...
Sent in my Mavic last week, DJI received it today at 1:20 and damage was assessed and quoted by 2:44. Seems like their repair process is still quite speedy. They just need to send me the invoice asap so I can get this thing back up in the air!
Well my experience with drift is not related to the Mavic but in the past I have always had drift - in one direction or the other. The one thing I would typically do is adjust the trim on my tx to compensate for the drift direction but I am not sure that is adjustable with the Mavic.
If it...
I try to make it a habit to ensure I have full sat lock and everything through the aircraft status tab is perfect before I take off. I have had too many past mishaps occur due to rushing through the pre flight check process.
Ok with that information I would agree with you that it is a possible sensor issue. My only other thought was some sort of manufacturing deviation but that does not seem plausible. Have you tried re-calibrating the sensors?
Well any multirotor will stop drifting once gps lock is initiated. I used to tune my PID's first without gps lock because you need to ensure that the craft is hovering well without any kind of flight mode turned on. I would recommend OP to recalibrate and if his problem still persists then we...
