Are you operating off a COA or Part 107 for your SAR teams? If you are doing Part 107 operations, then I would consider a COA approach and you'll have better success with getting your birds unlocked for the altitude you need.

I don't know about the GS Pro, but the M2ED does very well with fire. We used it a lot up here is AK this year since we've had quite a few fires. The Division of Forestry uses is for it too since it's much cheaper than getting a helicopter to ID hotspots.
