    Mavic Air Range

I somehow missed that the MA was wifi only. Bummer. But I can still see the usefulness of this drone as a supplement to my MP. Not sure if I'll buy one or not but I think they've given us some compelling options.

Is what DJI does with the Mavic legal?

Someone wake me up when any of this matters. You can talk till you're blue in the face about all these horrible things but until it matters no one will care. And frankly, I'd be willing to bet a large sum of money that it will NEVER matter in any material way to 99.99% of people.

will the FAA know if i fly over 400Ft?

I'm not a doomsday guy by a long shot but helicopters scare the bejeezus out of me. I so often see them flying around at very low heights. Any time I hear one in the area I stop flying and immediately look for the helicopter - especially if I'm at any distance from my takeoff location.

    Antenna mods

I've had it now for about a month and it's fantastic! Flying from my back deck with the stock controller I get around 2,500 feet at BEST (usually in the 1,700 range) before the signal gets super dodgy. With the evolite kit (boosted) I've gone as far as 7,500 feet!! The environment that I'm...

    Antenna mods

I agree. While it's certainly not economical, I just bought a brand new second controller and sent it to UAVMaxx for them to modify for me. Now I've got a normal stock controller and a modified controller that I can use depending on what I'm doing.

    How to cancel RTH?

Agree. I've found the pause button to be the most effective way to stop it from doing any sort of autonomous flying.

Introducing the new Cyclone Antenna System

I like the nice tidy setup of this antenna. I bought a second controller and had it modded. I'm currently running the boosted nanosync setup and I've been impressed. I'm guessing that this Titan setup will result in basically the same performance but I DO like the neater/tidier setup so I may...

    EPSON Moverio BT-300 Review

Wow! That's fantastic!! I guess I kinda figured if my second pair didn't work that we'd both just pack it in and call it a day (after returning my money). That's awesome to hear that they are still working hard to get yours right for you! I could tell that my new pair were very close right...

    EPSON Moverio BT-300 Review

It's really annoying that Epson is putting this out with a fixed PPD. But I'm going to give the the benefit of the doubt and assume that there's a really difficult technical reason that they are doing this. But Rochester Optical solved my issue which is great.

    EPSON Moverio BT-300 Review

I'm happy to report that Rochester Optical reworked (or completely re-did) my prescription inserts because the first attempt wasn't an improvement at all. The second attempt is MUCH, MUCH better. I'd say that I had about 60% clarity with the stock glasses and now I have 90+%. Certainly within...

    Property surrveilance Drone

The spec range is based on absolutely perfect conditions so don't count on that range.

    Property surrveilance Drone

I think what I would tell you is to think about the Mavic as a device that really needs to fly above tree level in order to travel any sort of distance and still maintain a connection with the controller. If you have thoughts of flying it out to the edge of your property (some 4,000 feet out)...
