Concur. Either an opportunity to educate local LE Agency or an opportunity to keep from getting your drone seized and ending up to try and educate a judge!

Or just fly your drone and let the agency working know your findings. Local volunteer FD fighting a grassfire appreciated my ability to pinpoint origin and hotspots.
Did you ever get your Drone Hook operating using the C1 C2 buttons? Mine will work with rotation, but not so far with the C buttons.

This wildfire started about 3/4 of a mile from us. I put my drone up after things were safe and pinpointed origin of the fire for the local volunteer FD that had responded. They (and my brothers tractor) stopped the fire 80 yards from my RV.
This was mostly aimed at law enforcement conducting surveillance from a drone that could not be done off the private property. LE is now required to get a warrant to conduct surveillance over private property, much like getting a warrant for a phone tap. There are some emergency exceptions.
Does the M2E use the same batteries as the M2Pro? DJI sent me a battery that in no way fits the M2E or my Mavic Air. The return and refund process was painstaking and they did not respond to numerous requests to exchange the incorrect battery
