It's a glitch. The app is recording speed in kph even if you select imperial units. Thus max speed is still only around 40 mph.

Yeah they are secure and won't fall out. I shook the controller in the air and they stayed in no problem. I too was expecting them to go perpendicular but they wouldn't stay in place like that

Just flew with open blue skies and no clouds. Tried to test for you. I was able to see the mavic up to 2500 feet out at 300 feet high. It's pretty hard to see with the naked eye. I was staring but looked down at the map for one second and lost it. I think you might be able to see it astound 3-4...
