    Flying on a forrest preserve

As mentioned above, the fact that your drone weighs below 250 grams makes no difference to anything except that, even though you have registered it, you didn't actually need to do that. The other comment about where you launch and land is probably the most significant aspect in regard to this...

FAA Release NEW rules for UAS Operations

By the time all this stuff comes together, the sub-250-gram registration exemption may possibly not still be in place.

Are drone changing 250gm size factor for registration across the world?

Too true but, at the time, there seemed to be a lot of people who believed that sub-250-gram drones were exempt from all regulations. Hopefully, this forum and other sources have helped to put everyone on the same page.

Are drone changing 250gm size factor for registration across the world?

When the sub 250-gram rule was introduced the FAA clearly indicated that it was going to be a "wait and see" thing. I remember watching a video of the first Spin_Up conference in which an FAA guy talks about it. In a nutshell, he said that if the sub-250-gram class of drones became a problem...

U.S. - Some interesting info regarding BVLOS, Night Flying and Flying over people.

The term "FAA" is nowhere in the post that I addressed. Please don't be so overly sensitive about something so trivial.

Which is what I did. I don't believe that I was being condescending when I wrote, "It's difficult to understand what you're on about. Are you defending the actions of the drone operator? Common sense can't have an IQ - only people have IQs." But is obvious by now that the guy doesn't want to...

All anyone can do is most probably agree with my assumptions because you didn't deny or confirm anything. So it's obvious from your meaningless posts that all you want to do here is to be a TROLL.

OK then, I'll take a stab at it. 1. You believe that people with common sense have low IQs 2. You support the actions of the drone operator referred to in the news article. I feel sorry for you.

I wish! :) I went looking for an avatar and thought that pic was very cool. What an awesome way that would be to get around my favorite fishing spots !! I flew sailplanes for a few years but never a weight-shift aircraft like a hang glider which is what that thing essentially is but with a...

This incident occurred in the U.S. so the drone operator was definitely not "within legal rights". The FAA regulations are applicable to and cover the entire United States of America. If the perpetrator is apprehended he/she will most likely be prosecuted.

Here we go Remote ID Cost

Why is the onus on me? I'm actually happy with the Remote ID proposal as it currently stands and I'm sure that I enjoy the company of many others who also understand and appreciate the need for RID. I trust the FAA to do the right thing. The FAA is going to implement this thing and they...

Here we go Remote ID Cost

You keep repeating yourself ad nauseam and asking over and over again the same questions, which have been answered, but you don't seem to be able to understand plain English and/or logic. If you don't like the answers you have been given - DO THE RESEARCH !! But I have already worked out and...

Here we go Remote ID Cost

Thank you @Cymru for injecting another voice of reason into this debate. We’re seeing the same old thing that happens in a lot of threads on this forum – people unwilling to do comprehensive (or even rudimentary) research because it might uncover something that goes against their preordained...
