Paul, I have (or have had) four DJI drones, and the Mini 4 Pro is by far the easiest to snap in place, no fiddling about whatsoever.

As it’s a quick (2 seconds?) function on my Mini 4 Pro, I do it as soon as I finish flying, ie before I fold the arms with the props.

After reading your post, I specifically checked this after updating both RC 2 and the Mini 4 Pro, and all of these three settings were functioning. Maybe just a problem with the Air 3?

May I suggest that if you are new to this wonderful hobby that you get lots of practice on dry land and in a large open area first.

I might wonder how accurate and repeatable the scale is, especially when subtracting the pepper grinder. Why not fold the arms and set the Mini 5 Pro upright? 1.2 grams is such a tiny difference—4/100 of an ounce.

Alan, is it just that you would rather not use your mobile for the display? I enjoy using my 11 inch iPad made possible with a mounting device made by Mavmount (mavmount.com). I love having 4X the real estate as compared to my mobile ‘phone or my DJI RC2.

I wouldn’t be qualified to know for certain but it might be good to keep both just so you don’t have to unbind from one of your drones and bind to the other every time you switch.

Upandabove, not far as the crow flies in Comox. Original Mavic, Mavic 2 and Mini 4 Pro. We have a nice little group of flyers as a Shared Interest Group (SIG) through the Comox Valley Photographic Society and we get together for monthly meetings and go out together from time to time.
