This happened to me once, I had to switch to sport mode to give it the extra power to get it back, it actually said wind level was to high returning home but , was struggling. The wind where I took off was almost none but across a bay it was a different scenario.

Basically follow the uk drone code of practice, locals seem to be very curious as do local tourists with drones and tend to hang around and watch, I just asked them if they minded being no directly on film etc. Yes personally found it to be a positive experience rather than a negative one...

The app seemed to bring up more restricted air space than where I live in the U.K., I'm knew to all this stuff but are you telling me that app is purely a guide line? Is there an app other than my local ATC app that covers all countries NFZ's?

I wouldn't know, I just used the dji go4 app and checked that I was ok to fly where I was
