I'm not sure it is, but it looks like there is some water staining around the edges of the board (top corners on back of the board) & some crystallisation around some of the components. Did you buy this new or used? If you bought it used I wonder if it went in the water at some stage.

I have also flown over water countless hours with my MP, sometimes flying lower than I should, but I have never had an issue. From what I have heard the sensors get confused if you fly too low, but if you're going to be orbiting lighthouses you should have no problems.

Hmm... by the time you take all the props off it would be just a quick to unfold the arms. Still need to remove the gimbal lock either way.

Cell service shouldn't be an issue, the phone I use with my controller has no SIM card. You do need satellite coverage for GPS flight however, I don't think that would be an issue in the mountains unless you fly through a deep narrow gorge that may block the controller and/or satellite signal.

I use an SD card to USB adaptor to do that, it does mean taking the card out of the drone of course.

It happens, sometimes in between 3 storms on the 1 day. We get most of our weather from S.A., so what does that say about your weather? ?
