What is the policy for transporting Dangerous Goods? | Baggage and lost property | Emirates
Yes its still there ... about 7th paragraph down. However they don't seem to enforce it ... I've just returned from South Africa back to New Zealand via Dubai with my Mavic in my hand luggage without any...
Am pleased to announce that I have just returned from South Africa to New Zealand via Dubai where I carried my Mavic in my hand luggage with no issues or questions asked at all
You say you would have checked it in ... I am not able to do this as I would have already checked my main bag in back in Auckland, so would not be able to add Mavic to my main checked in case ... and as far as I know, you are only allowed to check one piece of luggage in ... I think max 23kg
Am considering just chancing it too ... quick question though ... in the event that you were searched and your Mavic discovered, and they refused to allow you to take it as carry-on ... what would you have done?
This may well be an option ... but would a hard case like this hold my drone plus all my month long clothing and other stuff that I would normally put in a checked in suitcase ... because as far as I know, you are only allowed one checked in piece of luggage
It is a bit of a gamble either way ... check it in with my main luggage and risk it being stolen ... or take a chance and bring it as carry-on luggage and risk dealing with a Dubai security officer who is perhaps having a bad day and refuses to allow it on, simply referring to their no drone...

I am flying from New Zealand to South Africa in the next couple of weeks ... going via Dubai Int. Airport (Emirates) who do not allow drones as carry-on luggage ... so am forced to check my Mavic in with my main luggage ... with all the luggage tampering/theft on the South African side, there's...
True ... but am again interested to see how many others have not calibrated their Mavic's even on first receiving them where they were calibrated in China ... and have flown them like that ever since without calibrating ... with absolutely no issues.
