Thanks Felix. Good to know! I may go that route if LiPo replacement proves to be nearly as expensive or doesn't work. I have an Avata 2 and Mini 4 Pro to keep me entertained in the meantime. Thanks for the suggestion and info.
The battery management I/C (chip) on the RC1A and RC1B controllers main board is prone to failure, which is another reason why the older controllers can't hold a charge. Perhaps a good alternative would be to scout out a reconditioned RM500.
