MA2 updated - I also had no luck entering my valid RID into the FAA registration website. 20 characters, correct prefix and correct drone serial number, but FAA kept saying it was invalid.

You've also got to update DJI Fly as well. Nothing anywhere says this, but that's how I was able to see my RID.

Did you update DJI Fly????? I didn't have the experience you did after updating my Air 2, but had to update my tablet as well (and nothing tells you that's needed . . .).

Found my problem!!!! Thought maybe I had to update my Fly app. After going around in circles on the DJI 'Fly Safe' road block and getting to the download part, and then going around in more circles to get my tablet to accept an 'unknown source' update, everything now works!.

Although I've updated everything updateable, I've looked in every place on the controller menus, including the About tab and cannot find anything about RID at all. Must be my RCN1 controller.

Already ordered. IF DJI really does this, I'll sell the module. If they don't, I'm still legal.

I've been flying my 'antique' Mavic 2 with a Samsung tablet that's a whole lot larger screen than the integrated controller they keep pushing. I've been anticipating this new guy for some time. If I were to buy a 4 Pro, they'd better offer it with a plain-Jane controller version, otherwise...
