I Need Your Recommendations for Power Bank to charge Mavic 3 Batteries

Just a note, if you're going to be using the same vehicle, I would recommend taking some spare automotive fuses. There's some discussion on the correct amperage of fuse, plenty say 10A to 15A, however my range rover takes a 20A fuse, (it still occasionally blows if I'm using tyre compressor)...

A Crow flirts with my drone at 400'

The clues in my name, I.e. UK. It's illegal in the UK to exceed 400ft regardless.

Warnings About Regional and Burning Man Events

Your medivac? I think that says everything we need to know about you. It's not your medivac mate. You don't own it, lease it or rent it. You're an employee and your employer will have hired it. They shouldn't let you enforce anything, the tiny bit of Authority you feel you have been given has...

3 Fog at the Golden Gate Bridge

And this is why I don't go to the US. Everyone can have a gun. Obviously that is in no way connected to all the shootings and robberies at gunpoint........ Incidentally I'm not opposed to guns in themselves, I used to have a firearms certificate and kept handguns bit qe had a strong and...

    Zoom v's standard

Hi, can anyone post any pictures taken with the Mavic 3 taken from the same spot, one with standard lens and one taken with the zoom lens please? Just wanting to see if I should pay the extra money and get the 3 rather than the classic. Thank you.

A Crow flirts with my drone at 400'

You don't register a flight plan staying inland within the UK. I am in contact with ATC in the helicopter however I am not in contact with them when flying a drone and nor do they see drones on radar so that wouldn't really help. In any event, at 500 feet, depending on the terrain, there's a...

A Crow flirts with my drone at 400'

"Just go up, it doesn't matter if you are at the legal limit, it's an emergency maneuver. The same when you are running low on battery or a copter decides to fly nearby for example, rules are just for general purpose, safety of the flight always prevails" Don't do this! The rules are laws, not...

UK will not follow EASA Regs, Mavic 3 Classic will become Legacy in Jan 2023

I hear what you say but my point really is that to do anything interesting you're going to need a gvc even if you're recreational. Takeoff and landing are part of the flight and the Thames is often full of boats.

Because in a town or city you'd rarely be more than 50m away from a building or person. Remember you need to be thinking of each person/building as being surrounded by a 50m (150m if you don't have the A2 CofC) cylinder that you can't fly in to.

The Karen that was walking from her house to her car and hates drones?? The policeman that was passing through?? In a town or city, I really don't see how you could maintain 50m separation.

I live in the middle of nowhere but there's not much to film. Tbh I'm ok as I have a mini 3 Pro but my spark is effectively useless lol

UK will not follow EASA Regs, Mavic 3 Classic will become Legacy in Jan 2023

Spot on! But of course the CAA/DfT have no interest in the additional cost and complexity for drone pilots and this new announcement makes it virtually impossible for recreational users to fly anything other than sub 250g anywhere but open countryside. I can't help but think this may have...

Do you fly within 50m (horizontally) of buildings because if you do unless you can be certain there's nobody inside there's every chance you're flight contravenes the rules even with the A2 CofC. And that's my point about the A2 CofC, it's virtually a useless qualification.

I'm not sure how useful the A2 CofC really is. Given this will allow you to fly within 50 meters (164ft) of people but the definition of people also includes people within buildings, it seems a total waste of time gaining the qualification. My view is that the only way to be able to fly...
